About The Late Shows
The Late Shows brings NewcastleGatehead alive with culture on a Saturday night in May in celebration of the international 'Museums at Night' event and national Museums & Galleries Month. Popular cultural venues, usually closed in the evening, stay up late for one night only to bring you an unrivalled night of fun-filled activities, one-off events and sensational exhibitions.
A free bus service runs between the venues, making it easy for people to visit as many venues as possible during this unmissable culture crawl. With such a fantastic variety of culture on offer The Late Shows is the perfect way to experience NewcastleGateshead in a whole new light. The Late Shows is co-ordinated by the North East Regional Museums Hub in partnership with the Culture10 Unit in NewcastleGateshead Initiative, Baltic, Arts Council England, North East and the Visual Arts Forum.
