Tours for the Victoria Tunnel are now fully booked.
Many people will have walked the streets of Newcastle without ever knowing what lies just a few feet beneath them. Step into the past by taking a free taster tour of part of the fascinating Victoria tunnel. Admire the achievement of Victorian labourers, experience the conditions of a wartime shelter and interact with the audio-visual artwork hidden within.
The Late Shows taster tours will run at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, and 10pm on the Saturday night only. Tours will start at the entrance to Victoria Tunnel, on Ouse Street and will last approximately 40 minutes. Hard hats and torches will be provided but please wear sensible shoes!
