The Late Shows is a free culture crawl around Newcastle and Gateshead with many popular venues normally closed in the evening opening their doors after hours on a Friday and Saturday night.

Museums @ Night
18 - 19 May 2012 is Museums at Night weekend across the UK and hundreds of museums, galleries, libraries and heritage sites will unlock their doors in the evening. The Late Shows was the first to join up venues across a city and it is the largest Museums at Night event in the country.

We recruited a record breaking number of volunteers to support The Late Shows 2011. With over 100 volunteers supporting the late night events which took place in Newcastle, Gateshead and Ouseburn over 2 nights and 49 venues!! I got the chance to visit the volunteers in action on the Friday night in ...If you didn't get to take part in Helena Seget's porcelain brooch workshop at 36 Lime Street: Studio during The Late Shows, she will be running it again on Saturday 3 September from 10am - 12noon
